One of the best birthday presents ever....a surprise visit from my sister!!

Friday night Jim and Ethan went to the Boise State game. Saying that Ethan had a good time would be an  understatement. They had an amazing experience, one that Ethan will never forget!

Game Day!

Boise Nature Center

Tuesday Caleb, Blake and I decided to check out the nature center here in Boise. We loved the one in Kalamazoo and thought we would see what the one here had to offer. It had these awesome (1/4 mile) trails, perfect for little boys to walk and enjoy while burning energy at the same time. We had a good time despite the fact that Blake's shoe ended up in a white sturgeon exhibit and it had to be fished out. What kind of trip would it be without a little excitement courtesy of the boys?!?!

Soccer

 Ethan and Caleb are both on soccer teams this fall. Jim is helping coach Ethan's team, who just had their first game last Saturday. Ethan had a great time and the weather was perfect! Caleb has his first game this Saturday and is excited to be just like Ethan. Should be a good season!

Koelsch Elementary Open House

Thursday night Ethan's school hosted an open house so students could show their families their school. It was really neat to see Ethan's classroom, meet his teacher (who is awesome and has been teaching 1st grade for 10 years!) and see his school. I feel much better sending him everyday :) He is in good hands!

Bathing Beauty!

I need to give a shout out to my very dedicated and hard working husband for passing his boards!! He is now an American Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon, congratulations Jim!

Another Adventure...Stanley, ID

Yesterday we drove 3 hours to Stanley, ID and it was well worth the drive! The kids soaked up the sun and had a great time at Redfish Lake. The only downside was the fact that the view of the mountains were blocked by the smoke from all the fires. It was still fun and the kids were worn out by the time we left.
