Rock Climbing

On Friday, Jim took Ethan rock climbing here in Kalamazoo. Ethan loves climbing all over his bunk bed (Jim put rock climbing holds that he had in college on his bed) so we thought that he might like actual rock climbing. They had a great guys night out and Ethan did enjoy climbing, he also enjoyed climbing and jumping on the mats that they have there. It was a great way to burn off some energy and he has lots!

Someone was in love with their reflection this morning...

Getting Spring Fever

The other night the boys and I decided that the cold was not going to stop us from doing some of our favorite warm weather activities. So after a long walk we headed to the backyard to blow some bubbles and swing - the boys had a blast!Ethan was so proud of himself, he had been trying to catch a bubble for 15 minutes and finally snagged one!
Caleb was grinning ear to ear the entire time he was on the swing (despite the fact that he has a double ear infection - poor guy!)

Date Night!

Last night Jim and I went out on a date with a bunch of our residency friends. It was nice to get out just the two of us - thanks mom for watching the boys!

A visit from Aunt Keri

Last week Aunt Keri stopped by for a visit. The boys really enjoyed playing with her and we loved the company - thanks for stopping by!

Daddy and Ethan built a couch with Pooh eating a pot of honey (Ethan LOVES Tigger and Pooh)and of course a spot for Ethan to eat honey too!

February Fun!

We have been having a lot during the past couple of weeks and here are some of the highlights!

Ethan had fun making valentines for his family.

We spent a weekend with my mom and had a blast! Caleb loved playing ball with grandma!

Caleb has been thinking about crawling - no real movement yet, but is getting more and more daring everyday!

Caleb is standing up real well by himself (holding on to something of course)! This is my wonderful MOPS group making "no-sew blankets"-we always have a good time!

Happy 80th Birthday Grandpa!

My grandpa turned 80 last week and we had a nice celebration for it with the family! Happy birthday Grandpa!!

Crawling: Not even close!

How much fun can a box be?

A LOT if you ask my kids! I ordered some diapers online (surprisingly cheaper than going to the store) and of course they came in this big box. Ethan had his hands on that box as soon as he could and played with it the entire day! He even let his brother have a turn. The next morning Ethan woke up and the first thing he said was, "Where is the box?"

Dancing Machine!

Ethan has totally been into dancing lately. He LOVES it when we turn music from the computer on so he can dance all over our bedroom and jump on the bed. Well tonight after bath time, it became a family event. For nearly a half hour, the four of us were in our bedroom dancing, making up new moves and having a great time! We even got out our video camera to remember this fun evening and of course to embarrass the boys with they get older!!:)

First Haircut & Second Tooth

It was about time that Caleb received his first haircut. Dad was all for it, but mom was not ready to cut it off of her baby - but from this picture, I knew that it needed it! So here we go...snip, snip, snip....He looks a little more like a boy and less like a baby....is he really going to be 9 months?? Oh yeah, he also just popped his second tooth!

Trip to the Fire Station

Our playgroup took a tour of the Portage Fire Station last week. Ethan was very excited to see the fire trucks....from far away that is:) It was a great time and I actually learned a lot!

Winter Fun
