Christmas Cookies

Yesterday the kids decorated Christmas cookies and enjoyed cutting the cookies out, frosting them (of course, licking the frosting off their fingers), pouring on the sprinkles, and the best part of all....eating them!

Gingerbread House

Now that my kids are getting older, I find it fun to get creative, especially around Christmas time! This year I bought a gingerbread house for the kids to decorate all on their own. My hope was they were more interested in decorating with the candy than eating it and for the most part, Ethan did. Caleb on the other hand could have eaten it all! They had fun and surprisingly worked well together since I only had one house for them to decorate. Ethan told me tonight as I was putting him to bed that he hopes the candy is still good after Christmas so he can eat it off the house :) Like I said, Ethan wanted to eat it afterward!:)

While Jim was gone hunting, both of Ethan's grandma's came over to spend time with him and Caleb. I may be bias, but I think he has some pretty awesome grandma's!!

Happy Halloween!

My little (well not so little anymore) monkey and Tigger had a "sugar- festive" Halloween! Jim took them out with one his friends and their 2 year old and it was wonderful seeing the kids run from house to house yelling trick-or-treat and then running to the next house so excited about CANDY!! I watched them through the window until they were out of sight thinking how precious these times are and how they happen way to fast! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
