Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Last weekend we had a birthday celebration for my grandpa. It was really nice to get together and have a nice sit-down dinner. The boys enjoyed helping great-grandpa open his gifts. Ethan decided that great-grandpa would like chocolate chip cookies for his present, so we had fun baking them. It was a fun birthday celebration and a great excuse to get the family together.

SLEDDING!

Today our playgroup went sledding and it was the perfect weather for it. Kind of icy on top due to the low temps so the kids were really able to get some speed. Ethan really got into it and Caleb, well he wanted nothing to do with it really, but he enjoyed walking around and watching the other kids - we had a great time!

Fire Station Tour

Today our playgroup took a tour of the fire station and the kids had a blast! There were a couple times that our tour guides changed because there was a call and we watched the fire tricks head off. Ethan loved sitting up in the fire truck. I was really proud of him because last year he was took afraid to and this year, he climbed right up! I did however had to bribe him to try on the helmet - go figure!

They are just a joy and are really starting to enjoy doing things together and playing with one another. Here are a few pictures during the last week - enjoy!

Christmas Morning

I thought that being a kid and waking up on Christmas morning was the best thing in the world! Now that I am a parent and have kids of my own, I realize that being a parent and watching the excitement on your children's faces is priceless. It is so captivating to watch as their eyes open wide in awe of a stocking full of goodies that Santa brought and all of the presents under the brightly lit Christmas tree! This Christmas was so much fun! I relived my childhood memories of Christmas morning through my kids as they make their own Christmas memories. The gift that Ethan has been asking Santa for over and over: a marble toy!Uncle Mark joined us:)Caleb opening up his presents! The kids drinking hot chocolate out of their cups Santa brought them! The Geo Traks were a hit!

Update Needed!

Sorry to all who follow our blog for the lack of updates lately. I could list a bunch of excuses, but they all boil down to laziness on my part! I was asked about updating our blog the other day and was touched that this person and many others follow our blog and so here is a much needed update!!
