Happy BIrthday Jim!

Jim celebrated his 25th birthday on Sunday August 26th. It was great spending the entire day with him and his family. His mom and I teamed up together and made him a "mounds cake" which was really good! Ethan even helped to sing happy birthday to his dad. It is weird to think that on Jim's birthday last year I found out I was pregnant and now we have a wonderful son! We love you daddy....HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

In Grand Rapids!!

Hi everyone! We are officially in Grand Rapids for 5 months now and we are really exciting to be near family and friends:) With Jim having next week off, we are going on a mini family vacation to my grandparents cottage to relax and free our mind of med school for a little while. We miss everyone far away and can't wait to see you again and hear all about your adventures and we also can't wait to spend time with friends and family whom we have not seen in a very long time and some who have not had a chance to see Ethan. Here are some pictures of Ethan having a good time at home. We are moving downstate to Grand Rapids for 5 months on Friday so he is enjoying the UP as much as he can before we leave. Don't worry, I will continue to update often!!:)

Sugarloaf Mountain Hike

Yesterday Jim took Ethan up Sugarloaf Mountain for a "guys trip" with the new first years who will be attending the UP program. They had a blast and Ethan enjoyed chewing on the front of the pack:) He already loves the outdoors!

Three Months Old!!

It is hard to believe that our little guy is three months old already! Each day is so special and it is exciting to see what new thing he is going to do next:) Here are a few recent photos.

Wedding

This past weekend Jim and I took Ethan to his first and last wedding. As you will see there are no pictures of us all dressed up like I had hoped because the little guy screamed the entire time! There were just too many people and to much noise for him. We finally were able to get him to sleep right before dinner so we could eat and enjoy ourselves. We promised that we would never take him to another wedding again! Poor Guy! We did get some pictures the morning after the wedding though where he was full of smiles and giggles!! We had a great time at the wedding and it was beautiful!!! CONGRATULATIONS CASEY AND CARA!!:)

Ethan Meets More Friends

This past weekend my good friends Mindy and Aaron from college came for a visit to meet little Ethan. We all had a real good time, but it went by way too fast! Ethan LOVES Sitting Up!

Fun With Mom & Dad!!:)

Ethan, dad and I had a great time playing the other day. He is full of smiles all the time (well when he is not tired or hungry) and we love it!! He is so much fun and loves playing with all his toys. He bats at toys and is even holding the toys and putting them in his mouth and sucking on them. He is working on finding his thumb and soon I think he will find it:)

New Toy!!

Ethan was able to play with his new toy today! Yesterday I put this together and thought that I would see what Ethan thought of it. He LOVED it! He is still a little small so I had to put a blanket around him, but that did not seem to bother him. He couldn't reach any of the toys yet but the orange monkey, but he enjoyed standing up!

He is growing like a weed! He had a doctor appointment yesterday and had to get three shots, poor guy. He did very well though and really only cried though one of them and by the third shot, he did not even make a peep. He is 12 pounds 12 ounces (75% percentile) and 24 inches long (80% percentile). We love watching Ethan, he is cooing all the time and is smiling more and more everyday!

Family Reunion!

Last week Ethan was able to be part of the annual family reunion in Warsaw, Indiana. It was so much fun seeing all the family and for them to meet Ethan. We had a blast and can't wait to do it again next year:) Here are a few pics from the vacation.....miss everyone already!

Aunt Kelly Meets Ethan!

Aunt Kelly arrived Thursday and finally after two months of waiting was able to meet her nephew Ethan! They have so much fun together....Ethan LOVES his aunt very much and spends as much time with her as possible:) I love having her here as well, Arizona is so far away that the two times a year that I get to spend with her means a lot. Grandpa Biener visited as well and was able to spend some time with his grandson. We love when family visits!!

Going Swimming!

Last Tuesday it was 95 degrees out and we were so hot that our good friend Andrea said that we could come over and hang out by the kid pool that she bought for her 17 month old daughter. So of course I had to dress Ethan in his bathing suit!! It was a little big, and he didn't touch the water because he slept the entire time, but it was fun seeing him in it:) Maybe next time he will actually touch the water and get it wet!
