Back to blogging...
I have not been good about blogging lately, but I promise that I will get back to it like I used to be. Here are how my boys are doing...
Ethan is such an energetic guy. If I had just an ounce of the energy that he does, I would be super-woman! This also makes for some very fun days at our house. He is becoming more independent everyday, which has been wonderful to watch. He can now get himself all dressed and undressed, except for putting on/off his shirt. He can put his own coat on and zip it and we are working on the shoes - that tongue really gets in the way sometimes! He can also write his name and color in the lines for the most part when he wants to and he is very proud of that! He has really become mom's big helper! Ethan's favorite phrase right now is, "Can I help?". He loves doing whatever we do and most times, it is enjoyable. There are a few times that I have to close my eyes. He is very sensitive and loves a hug from mom and "wrestle time" with dad. Preschool has been great for Ethan and he has grown socially by leaps and bounds. The other day I went to go and pick him up from Sunday school and he was sitting in a circle with a bunch of boys and girls rolling a ball back and forth and did not even see me come in. Typically, Ethan would be watching and not playing so I was so thrilled to see him take that step and feel comfortable to join them. We have him signed up for summer camp which he is looking forward to, especially now that he knows they are having "water day", which is another love for Ethan. Anything involving water and he is there! I can't believe that my little guy is turning four next month, I guess that means that he is not so little anymore and I look forward to the many adventures ahead of us - if I can keep up with him that is ;)
Caleb, my sweet Caleb. He is a completely different child than Ethan, but because of that they are great brothers! Caleb has two sides to him: Happy-go-lucky and content versus feisty I-know-what-I-want. I can communicate with Caleb and know what he is telling me now which always makes life easier for both of us. He has so many words now and can now talk in sentences which is a new thing for him. He loves playing hide-and-go-seek with Ethan and finding him. Once Ethan hides, Caleb says, "1-2-3 knock!" and Ethan will knock wherever he is hiding and Caleb loves when he finds Ethan, yelling"I found you!". It is neat to see them interact and play together. Caleb is my little artist and LOVES to color! He has gotten pretty good at taking the tops off the marker and putting them back on now instead of asking for help all the time. He also enjoys matchbox cars, reading books, blowing bubbles, and building towers. He also shares a love for water - so you can imagine how much fun bath time is for these boys :) It is hard to believe that Caleb is almost two - where does the time go!?!?!
